Loose dentures can leave you feeling frustrated and restricted. Eating might become difficult, and your confidence may be compromised where smiling becomes difficult, perhaps even embarrassing. At Beeston Dental Practice Nottingham, we offer implant-retained dentures, dentures secured by dental implants that allow you, once again, to have a secure, full set of natural-looking teeth. Acts such as smiling and eating become simple once again, restoring your happiness and confidence. Implant-retained dentures in Nottingham are also a great benefit to your oral health. Where teeth are missing, extra strain be placed on the remaining teeth, causing damage to the jawbone. Dental implants remedy this issue by integrating with your jawbone, keeping it strong and healthy while slowing down bone loss.
This cost-effective solution in Nottingham works by fixing your dentures onto 2 lower-jaw implants and 4 upper-jaw implants. Our treatment in Nottingham, can also be applied to partial dentures. You’ll be able to bite, chew and speak much more naturally – and we’re sure you’ll find yourself smiling far more often with Dentures!

At an initial consultation our implant dentist will assess your suitability and advise on a suitable solution personally tailored to you. You’ll have every opportunity to ask questions and, in fact, we welcome this – we believe it to be the best way of ensuring that you are completely comfortable with the procedure. Placement of the implants is quick and relatively pain-free. The next step will be for your dentures to be fitted onto the implants. Finally, we’ll check fit and comfort, and match them to your other teeth if your dentures are partial before advising you on the best aftercare plan.
I have been a patient at Beeston Dental Practice for many years now. I recently decided to have upper and lower implant-retained dentures, which has improved my quality of life significantly. After receiving my new set of dentures, I have experienced greater confidence and satisfaction. I would like to thank Chris and his team for providing me with a new more confident smile.

Implant-retained dentures will feel far more natural in your mouth than standard dentures. This is because the implants connect your dentures to your jawbone in much the same way your teeth were once connected to it. You will likely find your implant-supported dentures retentive, stable and easier to eat and speak with. You’ll also notice that food tastes better as your upper teeth will no longer cover the roof of your mouth, and biting and chewing will become much easier.
Most people with good general health are suitable for dental implants. There are very few health conditions that contraindicate dental implant treatment, though it should be noted that smoking and a history of gum disease have been shown to affect implant treatment success rates.
From consultation to brand new smile, dental implant treatment takes around 3-6 months. This will vary from one person to the next, and is something we will discuss during your consultation.
At Beeston Dental Practice, we’re committed to making all of your visits as comfortable and pain and stress-free as possible. We use local anaesthetic when placing the implant into your gum and jaw to ensure your complete comfort; we also offer sedation for our more nervous patients. You can ask any questions and expect honest, straightforward answers and we’ll go through each step of the treatment in detail.
If you care for them properly they can last a lifetime.
In general, you should clean your dentures and implants twice a day – use a denture brush for your dentures and a toothbrush for your implants. Each patient will be different, however, and our team of nurses and hygienists will devise a patient-specific cleaning regime for you. Often interdental brushes are useful for cleaning tricky and hard-to-reach areas. Additionally, giving up smoking will help to protect your jawbone. It’s also important to visit us regularly.
