Our friendly team at our dental practice in Nottingham is led by Mr Christopher Navarro, BDS MFGDP, who took over from his father Pablo as Principal Dentist in 2006. We’re proud of the broad range of developed skills we have here at Beeston Dental Practice based in Beeston, Nottingham, with each member of our team ready to help you achieve a happier, healthier smile.

Chris graduated from Bristol University in 2003. He remained in Bristol to complete his VT year followed by posts in Maxillofacial Surgery and Paedodontics at Bristol Dental Hospital.

In 2005 Chris moved back to his home town of Nottingham to join his father at Beeston Dental Practice and took the reins as Principal of the Practice in 2006. The Practice soon achieved Foundation Trainer status and grew from a 2 surgery to a 6 surgery Practice equipped with the latest equipment including CEREC, CBCT and optical scanners.

Chris has a keen interest in dental implants, CAD/CAM technologies and clinical education. He obtained his MFGDP in 2008 and his Master of Science (MSc) degree in Dental Implantology in 2021, which he passed with distinction. He regular lectures Dentists in Implantology at the Campbell Academy.

He is married with two sons and enjoys coaching his son’s football team, riding his bike and playing his guitar.

Nilesh graduated from Barts & The London Dental School in 2012, having first completed a degree with honours in Biomedical Sciences at Sheffield Hallam University in 2008.

Nilesh provides a wide variety of high quality dental treatments, including sedation, root canal treatment and CEREC crowns while maintaining a gentle and caring approach in a relaxed and friendly environment.  Nilesh aims to help patients understand their treatment and how best to prevent dental issues, and works with them to provide the best results possible for each individual.

He is a firm believer in developing his skills and experience through post graduate education.  In 2014 Nilesh completed the MFDS qualification to become a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.  In 2017 he completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Sedation at the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London (UCL), which not only allows him to provide sedation for nervous patients, but provides further qualification and experience in this field.  In addition to this Nilesh has also been approved as a foundation dentist trainer – mentoring newly qualified dentists since 2017.

In 2021 Nilesh achieved a distinction in a Masters degree in Endodontology (root canal treatments) at the University of Central Lancashire. This provides the skills and knowledge to become a ‘Dentist with Special Interest’ in the area and to treat complex cases and treat patients with the highest level of skill, using cutting edge techniques and technology, including patients referred from other dentists.

Outside of work Nilesh loves to travel, has a passion for music, and is a sports fan, regularly watching Derby County.

Vinay graduated with honours from Cardiff University in 2014. He completed his foundation training in Borrowash and subsequently went onto further training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Kings Lynn. Vinay is committed to post graduate education having completed his MFDS qualification and is now a member of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

He has a keen interest in restorative dentistry. He has completed the Advance Aesthetic Restorative and Endodontic Dentistry course with Aspire Dental Academy. Currently he is studying with Harley Street Dentist, Basil Mizrahi, doing the Comprehensive Aesthetic and Restorative Dental Course. 

Vinay understands that children and nervous patients may be apprehensive and so he has a very patient, calming manner to make dental visits a fun and relaxing experience for young patients and their whole family.

Outside of dentistry, Vinay loves all kinds of sports as well as keeping fit himself. He also enjoys travelling and exploring new places around the world and spending time with his family.

Michael has been with the practice for over 3 years after graduating from the University of Birmingham and provides both NHS and private treatment, with keen interests in restorative and implant dentistry.

He has been training for implant placement and restoration since 2021 and has completed a number of postgraduate implant courses of increasing complexity!

Jack qualified from Sheffield in 2017 with honours, he was awarded the Oral Surgery/Oral Medicine Prize and passed his MFDS with the Royal College of Surgeons in 2019.

Following that, Jack worked in the QMC Maxillofacial Unit for 3 years and then did an Oral Surgery/Oral Medicine Post in Birmingham Dental Hospital. Jack also did a Paediatric Maxillofacial Surgery role at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and has a sedation accreditation and is an accredited Oral Surgery provider, he joined the practice in 2024.

Louise qualified as a dental hygienist from the Royal Dental Hospital, London in 1984. She joined the practice in 1993, firstly working with Pablo, Chris’s father, she has seen great investment in equipment and technology within the practice over these years. 

Louise is a multi- award winning dental hygienist with a passion for prevention. Her proudest accolade is possibly UK Dental Hygienist of the Year as this is awarded for her contribution to dentistry, with personal testimonials from her patients & colleagues and judged by her peers. 

Louise has 30+ years experience in dentistry and 20+ years experience in education, firstly tutoring at Birmingham Dental Hospital before developing and presenting Undergraduate and Postgraduate seminars, webinars and hands-on teaching. 

Louise is UK iTOP lecturer for Curaden Academy, iTOP (individually trained oral prophylaxis)– is a systematic way to learn optimal oral health management, iTOP covers a widely accepted, effective and non-traumatic way of learning good oral care. www.itop-dental.com  

Prevention and treatment of periodontal (gum) disease and tooth decay are dependent on excellent co-operation from the patient. A healthy mouth / gums are paramount for the success and stability of all restorative dentistry and implantology. Louise works together in partnership with her patients towards the ultimate goal of healthy teeth and gums.

 

Louise is an active member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (www.bsdht.org.uk) and

British Society of Periodontology (www.bsperio.org.uk)  She attends International and national conferences in her profession for the latest advances in prevention.

Antonia started her career in dentistry in 2010 working as a Dental Nurse at Beeston Dental Practice. She then went on to pursue a career in dental hygiene graduating from London’s Eastman Dental Hospital in 2015. Alongside her Hygiene Diploma, Antonia also achieved the Carol Chiver’s Memorial Award for excellence in patient care and communication.

Antonia thoroughly enjoys working together with her patients towards achieving better oral health and maintaining healthy gums and teeth.

Outside of work she enjoys keeping fit with exercise classes, spending weekends in the countryside and quality time with family and friends.

Antonia is registered with the General Dental Council and a member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy, ensuring that she keeps up to date with all the latest developments within Dental Hygiene.

Having worked as a dental nurse since 2016, Beth sought to advance her career by training to become a Dental Hygienist and Therapist. After graduating with a first-class BSc (Hons) in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy from Teesside University in 2020, Beth worked across three dental practices in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire before joining Beeston Dental Practice in 2022.

In her current role, Beth’s focus lies on providing preventative care and oral health education. Beth finds fulfilment in every aspect of her job role, establishing good rapports with patients and guiding them towards achieving healthy, confident smiles. With a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics, Beth aspires to undergo further training to enhance her clinical expertise.

Beyond dentistry, Beth enjoys travelling, dining out and exploring the countryside with her french bulldog, Ghost.

Alison Lowe

Alison qualified with Dip DH from the Eastman Dental Hospital, London in 1993 then graduated after further study from UCLAN ( University of Central Lancashire) in 1996 with BSc (Hons) in Dental Studies.

Keen to learn and expand on her career, she has worked in a wide range of practices and was a Tutor Hygienist at Birmingham Dental Hospital. Alison now works in mixed practices across the Derby, Nottingham and Staffordshire region delivering hygiene services to a wide range of patients including specialist orthodontic and implant clinics and holds numerous qualifications in Facial Aesthetics.

Alison is the DCP ( Dental Care Professional)  rep for BAFO ( British Association of Forensic Odontology) and has been involved in cases aiding the identification of victims of mass disaster. Previous, Alison was BSDHT chair person for the Midlands region and has recently been appointed co-chair of the new DCP East Midlands Network aimed at delivering education and promoting inclusivity across the region. With the aim to reach and deliver Oral Health to patients further and wider than just the dental surgery, Alison also has professional platforms on both Facebook and Instagram social media sites.

Outside of work, Alison loves spending time with family and friends. She is a keen cook, and enjoys entertaining, but is shocking at baking! She is married with 2 grown up children and appreciates any opportunity for walking, eating out and visiting the beach.

Hannah joined the practice in 2008 and qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2010

Between 2012 and 2019 Hannah furthered her education by completing qualifications in Dental Radiography and Oral Health Education. She also progressed within the practice becoming Head Nurse and eventually Practice Manager in 2019.

After returning from Maternity Leave in 2023 Hannah is embracing being back at work.

In her spare time Hannah enjoys spending time with her family and friends and traveling the world whenever she can.

Amy joined the practice in January 2016 and qualified as a dental nurse here at Beeston Dental Practice. She loves caring for our patients and making them feel relaxed in the dental environment.

Implant nursing is her passion and she loves seeing patients through their implant journey. Amy has recently achieved her NEBDN implant nursing qualification, and is currently studying Dental Radiography. Amy is also a member of the ITI dental nurses.

At the start of 2018, Amy became a Treatment Coordinator where she gets time to spend with patients to help them understand and choose their treatment options.

Outside of work Amy loves spending her time with her husband and children, cooking and socialising with her friends.

Haley joined the practice in 2023 and has been a dental nurse since 2006.

Martyna joined our practice as a Trainee Dental Nurse in 2019 and qualified with an NEBDN Diploma in Dental Nursing in 2021. Martyna has recently returned to University, this time to study Dentistry. You may still see Martyna about the Practice, helping us and making use of her Dental Nurse training.

Martyna is passionate about working with patients who are a little more nervous and is currently working towards a further qualification in Dental Sedation Nursing.

Prior to becoming a dental nurse, Martyna completed a degree in Biomedical Science at Nottingham Trent University.

Outside of work, Martyna enjoys keeping fit, reading and going to the cinema. She is also a keen traveller and enjoys exploring new places whenever she can.
